Ladies,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Our May
meeting brought to us 3 new members, Tiffany and Donna Herring
and Jacqueline Barrett. Welcome ladies. Per Kay's
membership report we are well over 103% with our new members.
On that note I would like you all to know that you can start
paying your 2009 dues - if you pay them before October 1st
there is a $5.00 discount making them $15.00. After October
1st they will be the full $20.00.
I would like to once again ask all of you that if you would
like to volunteer for any of our projects such as funeral
lunches, pancake breakfast, senior dance, silent auction,
spaghetti dinners, craft boutique, etc., please call me or
Luella and let me know you are available. Some of these
functions require as little as bringing in a dish with some of
them taking as much as 2-3 hours. Any time will greatly help
us out. I believe that with over 300 members we should not
have to be asking the same volunteers to participate for every

Some Dates to remember that are in the near future are:
Pancake Breakfast and Sr. Dance - Sunday June 1st
Department Convention - June 25th - 28th.
4th of July - Come and see the parade
I have not heard of the dates yet for the July C of A or the
July District Meeting. Hopefully I will know more by next
months newsletter.
I would like to thank everyone that helped distribute poppies
on the 16th and 17th. Mom and I were not able to help this
year as we were in Moorhead for the National President's visit
and Department President Barb Boerger's testimonial.
Well wishes to those that have fallen ill and deepest sympathy
to those that have lost a loved one.
